My trip was booked. I was all set to honeymoon in Hawaii. At the time, I was living in North Dakota and nothing sounded better than lounging next to crystal blue waters with a warm breeze blowing and a pina colada in hand. But then I got an oil change. And everything changed!
I was flipping through a National Geographic while I was at the service center and came across an article about Botswana. It was fascinating but I put down the magazine when I was done with the article. And then I sat there. Thinking. Africa had always been on my bucket list…
I went home, told my husband we were going to Botswana and cancelled our trip to Hawaii!
It was the best decision I ever made {okay, it was ONE of the best}.
That first African adventure surpassed every expectation—from the abundance of wildlife and breathtaking scenery to the warmth of the people and the lodges that felt perfectly at home in the wild.
It was a trip that stayed with me long after I returned home—and ultimately became the inspiration behind World’s End Adventures.

When I was in college, I studied in Aix-en-Provence, France for 5 months. But don’t ask me for French lessons… I can’t remember much.
